Must take call with a maximum 20-minute response time. Must be able to take direction from the Radiology Director, Radiologists, and Physicians.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:Follow prescribed techniques in administering general and special radiographs and properly save/display examination according to manufacturer s recommendations.Practice sterile techniques in all procedures requiring such techniques.Keep an accurate log of all patients and procedures done.Observe patient and equipment during procedures to assure patient and technologist safety and report any problems to the Assistant Director of Imaging or Director immediately.Must be able to take portable to emergency room or patient room and C-arm to surgery and perform necessary procedures.Must be able to perform basic head, abdominal, pelvic, and spine CT examinations and basic helical CT examinations.Must be able to perform helical CT scans of the chest for pulmonary embolism and/or dissecting aneurysm.Clean and disinfect room/equipment after each procedure.Transport patients to and from the Imaging Department.Maintain stock, supplies, and perform general clerical duties.Assist the Radiologist in performing CT guided biopsies.Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:Education and License:Graduation (diploma or certificate) from an accredited JRCERT School of Radiologic Technology.Licensed with the National Registry (ARRT) and the State of Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (or eligible for licensing by the State of Oregon).CertificationsBasic Life Support (BLS)Experience:Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience in a hospital Radiology Department.Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience on a CT scanner in a hospital Radiology Department or a clinic. Additional Qualifications:Must be able to work well in an environment with many disruptions.Must work well under stress.Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally.Must be able to offer assistance to any staff member whenever you see they need help.Must be able to be open and eager to learn new skills and grow in your current abilities.Must be able to demonstrate pride in ourselves through our actions, appearance, and demeanor.Must be able to take the initiative for your own personal growth, learning and development through continuing education and/or special training.Must be able to remain flexible, open and adaptable to change.Must be able to realize regardless of your title, you have an impact and ownership on patient care and Lower Umpqua Hospital.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Frequent use of computer and phone, and other standard office machines. Must be able to stand, sit, stoop, twist, kneel, reach, push, pull using proper body mechanics and move/lift varying amounts of weight to a maximum of 50 lbs. This is a Full-Time position that is eligible for benefit- Salary, from new grad to 15 years or more will range from $30.90/hour to $46.43/hour with additional pay for experience in other modalities. Our benefits are incredible here. The cost for an employee to insure themselves and their entire family is $212.52/month (pre taxed). Our deductible is $200/year and family is $600/year. The District also write off all medical bills for employees and their dependents after they meet their deductible and any required co-pays (ie: ER visit $100 co-pay). Clinics get a 25% discount We have a standard dental plan $1250/year, and vision is an exam each year along with an allowance for glasses or contacts.
